Although web chat is encrypted, if your computer has been compromised, someone else could still see our chat conversation. If you have reason to believe your abuser has access to your computer and/or is checking it remotely, please find a safe, untampered-with computer for the chat, or call our phone support line from a safe phone.
If you need to leave the chat quickly and safely, click the “Quick Escape” button in the upper-left corner of this webpage. This will immediately end your WebChat session and take you to a different website.
To end the conversation normally, click the three dots in the upper-right corner of the chat box, then select “End Conversation.” Once you end the conversation, the chat history will be cleared from your device.If you are sure you are connecting from a safe computer and you’re ready to chat with an advocate, you can start by typing in the chat box below.
